Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center has been recognized as a Health Quality Innovator for 2021. The Health Quality Innovator Awards is the annual awards program created by Health Quality Innovators (HQI) that recognizes and celebrates organizations that are using successful, evidence-based approaches to quality improvement.
Neosho Memorial was selected as a runner up in the Population Health category for its initiative named Community of Immunity.
This award category recognizes organizations that work to improve the health of patients and communities through prevention, treatment, and improved access to care.
“We’re incredibly proud that the Community of Immunity project was recognized as a runner up for the national 2021 Health Quality Innovator of the Year,” said Dennis Franks, CEO, Neosho Memorial. “This is truly a collaborative effort among an incredible team of community members, organizations, and business joining Neosho Memorial staff and providers to improve the health of our community.”
The goal of Community of Immunity was to provide rural residents with reliable information and access to vaccinations. Organizing community vaccination clinics in coordination with public health and other providers presented a unified effort, up-to-date education, and responsible use of resources.
As a rural critical access hospital, Neosho Memorial serves families in a five county area. Known for its outstanding medical staff and patient satisfaction, this hospital has received over 114 awards and distinctions for quality, patient satisfaction, physician satisfaction, and employee engagement.
